Salesforce (Outbound Messages) webhooks

Workflow and Flow outbound messages when a record meets a condition. Also Platform Events through Pub/Sub, which is pull, not push.

Events

  • Outbound Message: Opportunity Closed Won
  • Outbound Message: Lead Converted

Signature

No signature. Outbound messages are SOAP XML. Salesforce can send a session ID in the message, and you can allow Salesforce IP ranges.

Retries

Salesforce retries for 24 hours with increasing gaps, and keeps a queue of undelivered messages.

Receive Salesforce (Outbound Messages) webhooks with webhooks.xyz

Create a bin. Paste its URL into Salesforce (Outbound Messages). Each request shows at once with its headers and body. Add your server as a destination, and deliveries retry when it is down. Request an invite.
