Discord webhooks
Interactions from slash commands, buttons and modals for a bot or app.
Events
- PING
- APPLICATION_COMMAND
- MESSAGE_COMPONENT
- MODAL_SUBMIT
Signature
Headers X-Signature-Ed25519 and X-Signature-Timestamp. Verify the Ed25519 signature over '<timestamp><raw body>' with the app's public key. Discord rejects an endpoint that does not verify.
✓ A bin checks Discord signatures: add the application public key (64 hex characters, from the Developer Portal) under Signature verification (Discord).
Retries
Discord does not retry interactions. Respond within 3 seconds, or defer and follow up.
See a retry schedule in the calculator.
