Azure Event Grid webhooks webhooks

Storage, Resource Manager, Key Vault, IoT Hub, Service Bus and custom topic events delivered to a webhook endpoint.

Signature

Validation handshake: the first delivery is a SubscriptionValidationEvent with a validationCode that you must return as {"validationResponse": "<code>"} (or GET the validationUrl). Optional: an access key in the URL query, or Azure AD (Entra) bearer tokens. Events arrive as an array.

Retries

Event Grid retries with backoff for up to 24 hours (30 attempts), then dead-letters to storage if configured.

The bin's echo scenario answers the handshake: set the echo field to 0.data.validationCode.
CloudEvents 1.0 schema is an option; then the body is a CloudEvent and the handshake is an HTTP OPTIONS request.

Create a bin. Paste its URL into Azure Event Grid webhooks. Each request shows at once with its headers and body. Add your server as a destination, and deliveries retry when it is down. Request an invite.
